Once again I haven’t posted in while, so I thought I treat you with my thoughts on a coaster that I find to be very under-rated.
My Hometown Woodie
At my home park, Six Flags Over Georgia, is the not-so-beloved Georgia Cyclone, made by Curtis D. Summers in 1990. It receives terrible criticism by average park guests and enthusiasts alike completely because it can be rough depending on where you sit. I’ve found it to be comfortable in the first 3 rows. Any seat behind the 3rd row on the train will send you to the chiropractor. If you sit up front, the ride is fantastic. It features two great drops, countless ejector moments of airtime, and one good float of airtime. People tend to cut it down just because it can be rough, other wise it’s a great ride. I plan to give it a full review in the next few weeks. Feel free to let me know what you think if you’ve ridden Cyclone, and never pass up the opportunity to ride it because of what somebody has said about it.

The Georgia cyclone wasn’t that bad! We came from Adelaide Australia and rode it multiple times over three days in June 2012. We compared it to the comet in Lake George and whilst it is certainly rougher, it’s still a good wooden coaster. A great theme park!
It’s nice to see someone else who realizes it’s not a bad ride at all. Thanks for reading!
